A few people have noted that MyGains doesn't automatically download the trade history for all of 2007 from their brokerage accounts. Please note that MyGains will only download the historical transactions made available by each brokerage firm and each firm varies.
For instance, E*Trade only allows for transactions from the last 3 months to be automatically downloaded while Scottrade allows for the past 18 months.
We strongly encourage you to download the trial version to make sure MyGains satisfies your needs.

Do you plan to support downloads from Zecco Trading?
We have just added an import feature where you can import an excel/.csv file into MyGains.
See if you can download your trades from Zecco into an Excel file, then review the FAQ's on the MyGains website:
http://www.mygains.net/csvsupport.aspx
As far as automatically downloading trades, MyGains utilizes the OFX exchange which many brokerages use. We are reviewing Zecco to determine if it uses OFX.

when I try to load manual tade the "add trade" will not function. It worked on the first half dozen entries, but no longer works.
Dear Tom Crawford,
It's not clear as to the source of your issue. Please write to support@dhanasoft.com with more specific details of the types of trades your adding and which ones successfully loaded and those that weren't.
Best regards,

I downloaded the trial version of MyGains and imported my trading acc history from my online Scottrade account. MyGains seemed to group many trades in a way that I will assume for now is benneficial to me. However I could not determine if the brokerage commission fees were being factored into the cost basis of the transactions - actualy it looked more like it was not being factored in at all. I tried to edit an individual trade to see if I could force a commision fee into one of the transactions - but it seems like the addition was rejected by my MyGains. Am I missing something? How do I make sure MyGains is factoring in commision fees into the cost basis of my trade transactions before I purchase MyGains. Thanks.
My appologies - I have it figured out - MyGains does factor in brokerage fees.
I have a brokerage acoount with Wachovia securitees. When I try to add Wachovia Seciries, I noticed that it is not listed. Could please let me know Wachovia Securities is not on the list?
Why does my license registration number disappear every time I close the program? Evey time I open the program I am asked to provide a valid license.
All trades executed in 2008. Stock realized gains and losses show up as o. Obviously cannot do schedule D. Whats wrong. This not a trial version
Is there any way to set the shares bought/sold number to 4 decimal places instead of 2.
I downloaded the MyGains trial and imported all my trades for the last 8 years from TDAmeritrade in .csv format. The options that I bought or sold and that expired worthless are shown as unrealized gains or losses. Obviously, this won't work for me. Can this be fixed?
It sure would be nice if I could sort the output in the trades tabs by date (of open or close of transaction) or by ticker followed by date. How does MyGains sort the output? It looks like it doesn't. I see that the Portfolio section at the bottom sorts but I'd like the trades tabs at the top to be a collapsible grid that has sortable columns too.
I just clicked the Download Now button and all my 2009 transactions got imported. This worked great.
The unexpected side effect was that the options that weren't accounted for properly are now correct too.
I think the import should be able to do this on its own, don't you think?
Anyway, this might work for me afterall.
